Sammie Joe Fitzpatrick

Sammie Joe Fitzpatrick, age 64 of Nixa, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012. He was born July 16, 1947, the son of James Marshall and Betty Jo (Payne) Fitzpatrick. He served his country in the U.S. Army. On November 15, 1985, he and Linda (Cantrell) Ganzer were united in marriage. Sammie was an over-the-road truck driver before retirement. Survivors include: His wife, Linda; his mother, Betty Jo Fitzpatrick; five children, Melissa Braun and husband Bill, Joplin, Tracy Walker, Springfield, Johnny Cantrell, Springfield, Donnie Ganzer Jr. and wife Margie, St. Louis, and Samantha Smith and husband Marty, Ozark; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mary Alice Wright, Rogers, Arkansas; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall, a son Kenny, and a brother, David. A memorial service will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, July 17, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Josh Hall officiating.
