Sally J. Gustin

Sally Lewis Gustin, age 80, of Nixa, MO passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015. Sally leaves a brother, RG Lewis; two sons, Terry and Clay Gustin; daughter, Kristy Williams; four grandchildren, John Mark, Anita, Ashley and Tyler; and 3 great grandchildren. Sally was preceded in death by a Sister, Marylyn Gull; a brother, Bill Lewis; and a spouse of 25 years, Floyd Gustin. Sally was born December 11, 1934 in Eureka, KS. She graduated from Eureka High School in 1953. She married Floyd (Red) Gustin in 1954. They made their home in Wichita, KS for 10 years, then transferred to Dodge City for the next 13 years. Throughout the years Sally worked as a Medical Transcriptionist. She loved gardening and flowers were her specialty, however; she grew enough tomatoes to feed the neighborhood. She moved to Nixa in 1981, retired but continued to work part time. Sally frequented the Nixa Senior Center as much as possible. She loved to dance, 40's type, square dances and clogging were some of her favorites. Some of the joys of her life were babysitting her grandson, Tyler. They formed a special bond that was precious, as well as her relationship with her Niece Stacey, who was like a daughter. Her struggle with health issues for the past 35 years have been challenging, but her passing into the arms of Jesus was painless and peaceful. She will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 6, 2015 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
