Ruth Ethel Peck

Ruth Ethel Peck, age 97, of Nixa, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011. She was born November 24, 1914, in Cherryvale, Kansas, the daughter of James and Ella (Bachtell) Edwards. On December 31, 1939 she and Harold Peck were united in marriage. They lived most of their lives in Wichita, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her twin brother, Woodrow Edwards, five other siblings, Billy, Jesse, Jacky, Geneva, and Nancy, and her parents. Survivors include: Her daughter with whom she shared a home, Barbara Chastain; a grandson Joshua Chastain and wife Jennifer; a granddaughter, Lori Chastain; three great-granddaughters, Ashley, Catherine, and Aubrey; three sisters, Mary Allen, Lucille Stute, and Delores Hunter; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 14, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Dennis Miller officiating. Burial will follow in McConnell-Bledsoe Cemetery.
