Ruth Marie (Pope) Luttrell was born to Charles Arthur and Ethel Lorena (Willis) Pope in St. Louis, Missouri on October 17, 1927. Ruth went home to her Savior on September 11, 2019 at the age of 91.
Ruth graduated high school in 1946 and after graduation was employed as a records clerk at the Army Records Center in St. Louis. On November 25, 1949 she was joined in marriage to Finis Earl Luttrell also of St. Louis. They celebrated 64 loving years together until Earl's passing in 2014.
Ruth gave her heart to Jesus at the age of nine and served Him faithfully all her life. At her passing she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Billings.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marlene Schatz (St. Louis, MO), half-sister Dorothy Burkett (St. Louis, MO) and half-brother James Pope (Kimberling City, MO).
Ruth and Earl are survived by five children: Nancy Halcomb of Billings, MO, Kathy Moore (husband Henry) of Foristell, MO, Ken Luttrell (wife Katherine) of Billings, MO, Patty Dixon (husband Glen) of Clever, MO and John Luttrell, Billings, MO, daughter-in-law Carrol, grandchildren Jessi White, James Luttrell, Diane Luttrell and great grandchildren Claire and Owen White and Aidyn and Connor Luttrell, one sister-in-law Joan (Kirkwood, MO) and beloved nieces and nephews.
We will remember this special person for her love and faithfulness to God and her family, her giving ways, her sense of humor, beautiful smile, lovely soprano voice and enjoyment of entertaining, decorating, flower gardening, board games and jigsaw puzzles. She will be missed by all but we take comfort in knowing we will all be united once again in the glorious presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
