Ruth Ervin

Ruth Ervin passed away in her home in Springfield, MO on August 15th 2017. She was born on July 31st, 1920; 97 years of age. Preceded in death by her husband William Ervin, and her two sons, Richard Hoffman & Leslie William Ervin. She was a mother of seven children, with five surviving daughters; Cheryl Hoffman, Paula Gutierrez-Evans (Brent), Barbara Jacobs, Beverly Hartman, Donna Ethridge. She also had nine grandchildren; Jeff Cesario, Tonia Rosas (Marc), Tina Rejmaira (Neal), Michelle Brewer, Mathew Logan, David Brzyski, Garrett Ethridge, Hollie Brown (John), Steven Weishaar; twelve great grandchildren, and a month ago became a great great grandmother to a set of twins. Ruth had a passion for gardening, sewing, and all sorts of other arts & crafts. Ruth was also a valued employee at Burgmaster in southern California until she retired in 1992. During the last years of Ruth's life, her daughter, Barbara Jacobs and grandson, Steven Weishaar were her primary caregivers. Ruth Ervin will be dearly missed by her entire family. May she rest in peace. The family will hold a memorial service at 5:00 PM Friday, August 18, 2017 in their home at 2645 W. Blackburn Drive Springfield, Missouri 65807.
