Russell Allen Gann, age 67, of Ozark, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour. He was born November 20, 1951, the son of Emil and Barbara (Troutt) Gann. Russell was a 1969 graduate of Ozark High School. He accepted the Lord as his Savior at a young age and was a member of First Baptist Church in Ozark. Russell worked with his father for Emil Gann Construction Company.
He had a passion for drawing and was an accomplished artist. Russell enjoyed turkey hunting in years past with his father and brothers. He was a Beatles fan and loved to sing their songs. Even while receiving chemotherapy in the hospital he and Wendy would sing Beatles songs. He was fond of his dogs, Pedro and his latest dog, Max. Russell will always be loved and remembered by his family.
Survivors include: His mother, Barbara Gann of Ozark; a sister, Wendy Kerns and husband Bob of Hollister; a brother Steve Gann and wife Beverly of Cape Fair; a daughter, Sarah Robison of Springfield; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Emil, and a brother Paul Gann.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Wednesday, January 2, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Wednesday.
