Russell M Armstrong

Russell M. Armstrong Jr, age 55, passed away in his home May 11, 2012. He was born to Russell M. Armstrong Sr., and Genina (Southerland) Armstrong, November 21, 1956, in Stockton, CA. He was united in marriage to Christine Otis, February 2, 2005. Russell loved the Lord and was a pastor. He could talk to anyone and always was able to tell people about Jesus, sometime during the conversation. Russell touched a lot of people and made a difference in people"�s lives. Not only living as an example of his Lord, but ministering to broken hearts and the down trodden. Russell always thought of others first. He loved his family and spending time with them. Russell was a master craftsman. He could make anything out of wood. He made all of the furniture in his home. Russell love being on the lake fishing, but his dream job was to be behind the pulpit, preaching. His most recent study is found in 2 Timothy 2:15 "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth"�. He is survived by his father, wife Christine, Dustin Armstrong, Eugene, OR, Chasey Armstrong, Eugene, OR, Shailyn Armstrong, Nixa, Reese Armstrong, Nixa, siblings Netta Puskar, and husband Mike of Panama Beach, FL, Nancy Walters and husband Steve of Onalaska, WI, Mark Armstrong of Golden Valley, AZ, and Sweet Roy and Debra of Las Vegas. Russell was preceded in death by his mother. A private memorial service will be held later. Cremation is under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
