Ross Edmund LaRoche, age 77, of Galena passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017. He was born December 9, 1939 in Hawesville, Kentucky, to Percy and Mary Lois LaRoche. Ross was a caring man and lived for his family. Ross lovingly took great care of his wife, Mary, through her illness until her passing in 2008. He kept the household together and running smoothly. He enjoyed gardening and loved his dog, Charley. His family describes Ross as a wonderful man who never met a stranger. Ross was a factory worker at A. B.& B, and Westinghouse for over 33 years making electrical boxes. After his wife's passing he became very close friends with Deborah Foley and they enjoyed traveling and sight seeing. Ross attended the First Baptist Church of Spokane and loved his church family. Ross is survived by Deborah Foley; his children Lisa Foley and husband Tim, and Cynthia Hyde and her husband Tony; grandchildren Edmund, Anthony and Kayleigh; one great-grandchild; siblings Delmar LaRoche of Ohio, Vernon LaRoche and David LaRoche both of Kentucky. Ross is preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents; a brother Percy LaRoche and a sister Edith House. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Spokane First Baptist Church, Spokane. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 24, in Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Bloomington, Indiana. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri.
