Ross Charles Anderson Sr., age 90, of Ozark, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012. He had been a resident of North Park Village for the past six years. He was born June 18, 1922, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, the son of John and Minerva (Leach) Anderson. Ross served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. On July 6, 1942, he and Lenora McKenzie were united in marriage. She preceded him in death in 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Ross and Lenora lived in Amarillo, Texas, and from 1962 until his retirement in 1986 he owned and operated Air Comfort Company in Guymon, Oklahoma. They moved to Kimberling City and later to Nixa before Lenora passed away. Ross was a member of North Nixa Baptist Church. He was a member of Rotary International for 50 years, having perfect attendance for most of those years. He served as Rotary President while a member in Kimberling City and was a member of Ozark Rotary Club. He was also a member of the Elks for almost 50 years, serving as Exalted Ruler in 1991 and 1992 in Kimberling City. He was presently a member of Christian County Elks Lodge #2777. Survivors include: Two sons, Ross Anderson, Jr. and wife Judy, Kimberling City, and Johnny Anderson and wife Voletta, Ozark; four grandchildren, Jeff Anderson and wife Phoebe of Seattle, Washington and their son Arlo, Brian Anderson of Guymon, Oklahoma, Kristie Boehne and husband Heath of Lockwood and their children Brittain, Justise, Zander and Mirren, and Sean Anderson and wife Chandra of Ozark; nieces and nephews. Funeral services and an Elks Ceremony will be 12:00 noon Thursday, September 6, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 5:00 "� 7:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
