Rosie Ward

  Rosetta (Rosie) Mae Ward, age 82, daughter of Noah and Anna Smith was born September 24, 1942, entered into rest on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Nixa Nursing and Rehab. 

  Rosie was born in Macon, Missouri. She attended Macon School. She married Jerry O'Nan in 1963 and had three children. She resided and worked in Kansas City, Kansas for 56 years. Rosie had a long career at Gordon Chemical Company for 30 years. Rosetta was remarried to Bob Ward in 1994. 

  Rosie enjoyed fishing, camping, reading a good book, and crossword puzzles. She had a beautiful smile and she loved her grandchildren and enjoyed seeing all of the grandkids and great-grandkids together. Rosie was a beautiful person inside and out. She had a great personality and a big helpful heart. She worked hard for many years to take care of her children and would help any one in any situation. Michael says a person couldn't have a custom made mom like Rosie. She was one of a kind.

  Rosie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob; her five siblings; a granddaughter and a grandson. 

  Rosie leaves two sons Michael O'Nan and Mark O'Nan; a daughter Cheryl Blazek, her husband Paul; 2 grandchildren; and six great-gandchildren; a nephew and many friends.

  Rosie will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family.

  The family has no plans for a service.

  Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Cremation rites are accorded by Adams Crematory.
