Rose – Virgine Lillian Stryczek, age 70 entered her Eternal Heavenly Home and got her wings and went to walk with the angels on July 15, 2023. She was born on September 16, 1952 in Norwich, Connecticut to Donald Perkins and Doris Mailloux. Rose was taken into care and loved unconditionally by her foster parents Paul and Elizabeth Lyon.

It would be wrong to say that Rose lost her battle because she never stopped fighting no matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Rose stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight. Rose was an angel who loved and cared deeply for her family and friends. Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever. Anyone who knew Rose, she would light up the room with her smile and illuminate the world with her heart.

She was the first graduating class at Quinebaug Valley College in Killingly, Connecticut. She graduated with an associate's degree in the medical field. She met John at her first job at American Optical in Putnam ,Connecticut, where she worked for 10 years. They were united in marriage on July 14, 1974. When Rebecca was five, after working at Mansfield Training center for people with disabilities. A rewarding job that she loved ,she became disabled spending her rest of her years caring for Rebecca.
