Rose Louise (Call) Elliott O"�Connell, age 83, of Springfield, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012. She was born September 27, 1928, in a potato patch in Reno Hollow south of Spokane, the daughter of George and Tinza Call. She was named after Rose O"�Neil, whom both her parents worked for. Starting at age 12, Rose worked summers in Rockaway Beach to help pay for clothes for the next school year. She graduated as Valedictorian from Spokane High School. After graduation Rose moved to Memphis for a short time. Following her return home, she met and married Don Elliott in 1947. They lived in Buffalo where they owned a Jeep dealership and auto supply business. They later moved to Lamar, Missouri, and on to Denver, Colorado. Don passed away in 1972 and Rose returned to the Ozarks. She married Bob O"�Connell and he passed away in 1980. Rose worked for the Ozark Empire Fair for almost 20 years. She enjoyed bowling and gardening and was a button collector. Survivors include: four sons, Don Elliott of Denver, Colorado, Walter Elliott of Elkland, Denton Elliott of Ozark, and Tom Elliott and wife Susan of Nixa; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Elliott, Georgia Ehrlich, Earlene Rose Elliott, Kullin Elliott, Adam Elliott, Matthew Elliott, and Denton Elliott; and four great-grandchildren, Johanna Louise, Dylan Rose, Eli and Sadie. She was preceded in death by her husbands, a son George William Elliott in 2002, seven brothers and sisters, Haskell Call, Merle Pryer, Jess Call, Pearl Cockran, Earl Call, Ruth Dennis and Fred Call, and her parents. A visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, from 4:00 "� 6:00 PM in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
