Rosalea Kissee, age 70, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014. She was born December 14, 1943 in Ozark, the daughter of Thomas Edgar and Audie Anna (Shaw) Hargus. She was a 1961 graduate of Ozark High School, and received an associate degree from Draughon's Business College. On December 30, 1961, she and Lesley E. Kissee were united in marriage at Smyrna Baptist Church. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2011, at the church where they were married.
Rosalea worked for Zenith in Springfield, and 25 years for Fasco in Ozark. Gardening was a passion for Rosalea, and her flowers were admired by family and friends. Rosalea loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and shared her knowledge of many things with them, including history, politics, and music. She enjoyed music of all kinds including classical, country, and rock. Rosalea was a Christian from an early age, and studied her bible often. She loved to travel and was able to go to Canada, throughout the United States, and also take her dream trip to Australia, New Zealand and Fuji.
Survivors include: Her husband, Lesley; five children, Lisa Gay Kissee of New Haven, Missouri, Laurie Bilyeu and husband Donnie of Ozark, Paul Kissee and wife Chynar Staggs of Springfield, Latricia Johnson and husband Mark of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Leah Perkins of Ozark; grandchildren, Goldie and husband Ray, Megan and husband Craig, Nathan and wife Abby, Tabitha, Dakota, Gabe, Austin, and Tanner; great-grandchildren, Carson, Ryder, Wyatt, Carter, Eli, Savannah, Emma, Loudin, Lily, and Hudson; five sisters, Joan Lincicome and husband Tom of Livermore, California, Mary Adams of Ozark, Elizabeth McGinnis of Portland, Oregon, Eva Woodring and husband Carl of Fair Grove, Missouri, and Lena Carpenter and husband John of Ozark; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Willard Holt, and two infant brothers.
Her family loved her very much and Rosalea will be dearly missed.
A graveside funeral will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 21, 2014 in White Oak Cemetery Rogersville. Visitation will be from 5:30 - 7:30 pm Friday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
