Rosa Lee Nelson, age 97 of Ozark, passed away peacefully in her sleep in her daughter’s home on December 24, 2021. She was born August 2, 1924 in Thayer, Missouri, the daughter of Martin Luther and Lovie (Schlotterback) Hertzler.
On January 29, 1948, Rosa Lee was united in marriage to Ward T. Nelson.
Survivors include: two daughters, Donna Nelson of Ozark and Sharon Davis and husband Larry of Nixa; grandchildren and their spouses, Christy Davies and husband Lewis of Nixa, Dusti Davis of Ozark, Joshua Cram of Springfield, Daniel Nelson and wife Meka of Warner Robins, Georgia, Shawna Lowery and husband Todd of Sparta; great grandchildren, Brittany Heminger, Ryan Cram, Hunter Cram, Mallory Cram, Carson Lowery, Anna Lowery, Brooklyn Lowery, Deonte Fuller, Kamari Fuller, Taelyn Nelson, Myles Canady, Drew Canady, Lauren Canady and Alex Kachingwe; great great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Parker, Ady, Colton and Olivia; and many nieces and nephews.
Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sons, Barry Nelson, Steven Nelson and Bruce Nelson; a daughter in law, Diana Nelson; six sisters; and a brother.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Springfield, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Brandon Brawley officiating.
