Ronald Wehling, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born on April 24, 1935, in Beecher, Illinois, to Elmer and Margaret Wehling. Ronald grew up in Beecher and graduated from Beecher High School before attending the University of Illinois in Champagne, Illinois.
Ronald spent much of his professional life working in the insurance industry, real estate, and as an entrepreneur. His hard work and dedication were evident throughout his career.
In his personal life, Ronald was known for his kind heart, unwavering honesty, and dependable nature. He was deeply devoted to his family and was a loving husband, father, and friend. Ronald had a fun-loving spirit and brought joy to those around him.
Ronald married Sharon Wehling on April 20, 2007, and together they enjoyed traveling the world on cruises, spending cherished time with family, and sharing many memories. He married Barbara Gallagher on April 27, 1963. Barbara passed away in 1999.
He was a dedicated Kansas City Chiefs and Jayhawks fan, enjoyed solving Sudoku puzzles, playing games with his loved ones, and piecing together jigsaw puzzles. Ronald also loved browsing the internet and watching television, particularly his favorite show, The Curse of Oak Island.
Ronald moved to Nixa in 2008 from Lawrence, Kansas, and quickly found a place in his community. His patient, loving, and trustworthy nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ronald is survived by his wife; Sharon Wehling; one son; Jeff (Crystal)Wehling, three stepsons; Kevin (Joy Rizzi) Pellow, Kirk Pellow, Kit (Karina) Pellow; one stepdaughter; Kim (Bill) Spence; one brother, Jim (Kathy) Wehling; eleven grandchildren.
Ronald is preceded in death by; his parents, Elmer and Margret Wehling.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nixa, Missouri with a visitation preceding the memorial service at 3:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
