Ronald K Snow, age 78, Ozark, MO. passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 in his home surrounded by family. He was born October 9, 1940 in Springfield, Mo., the son of the late Kenneth L. Snow & the late Clair Alcorn Snow. On August 5, 1961, he & the late Mary Jane (Crall) Snow were united in marriage. His last employment was a Service Manager with National Propane Co. in Branson, Mo. for several yrs. until his disability. Previous to that he was employed with Royal McBee Industry, Spfd., served as a Springfield Police Officer in the K-9 unit with his dog Major in the 1960s', was owner/operator of Cricket Creek Marina, Omaha, Ar. in the late 1960s', route service driver with Public Gas, West Palm Beach, Fla., floor clerk with Plaza Hardware, Spfd., service tech with Webster Oil Co., Kimberling City, was in the Heating & Air business, Spfd., & with Morris Oil Co., Spfd. He was a 1958 graduate of Parkview High School, & attended Mo. State Teachers College for a short time before enlisting in the United States Air Force Reserve in which he served as a Basic Airman from 01/29/1959 to 11/06/1966, & was Honorably Discharged. He flew on & was a Boom Operator on a KC-135 Fuel Transport. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Ozark. He loved & was a faithful servant to the Lord. He served as a Deacon, a Sunday School Superintendent for 10 yrs., & on the Bus Ministry, as well as other ministries, with Temple Baptist Church, Spfd. in his earlier years & an active participant @ FBCO & Bible Study Class in his later years until recently. He had the gift of evangelism & was passionate in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to his friends & family. He was a member of the Springfield Retiree Dinner Group which included some of his former police officer comrades in which he thoroughly enjoyed. Throughout his lifetime he enjoyed camping, horseback riding, bull riding, playing softball, fishing, hunting, bowling, watching westerns on ME TV, trivia, reminiscing, reading his Bible, & spending time with his family & friends. He was an avid fan of actor John Wayne. He was loving, caring, kind, generous & loved helping others.
Survivors include: his brother Rick Snow & wife Michelle, Ozark; nephew, Lance Snow & wife Jessica, Loveland, CO; niece Marilyn Sue Phillips, Strafford; and many other nieces & nephews; a great-niece; a great-great niece & a great-great nephew.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, of Ozark; father & mother, Kenneth L. & Clair Snow; Step-mother, Ethel Snow.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Ozark, under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Chris Thixton officiating. Burial will follow at Old Galloway Cemetery in Springfield. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. immediately before the service.
