Ronald Leslie Perry, age 82, of Nixa passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024. He was born October 15, 1941 in Taft, California to Charles L. Perry and Tressia (Rice) Perry.
Ronald graduated from Parkview High School in 1959. Ronald joined the Army National Guard in Springfield and served four years. He worked for the City of Springfield as a building inspector. He retired after a long career with the city.
Ronald had a passion for music. He played the guitar and the harmonica and played with bands over the years in local establishments in the area. His favorite music was country and bluegrass. For many years Ronald played music every Friday night at the Senior Center in Nixa with several of his friends.
Ronald was known as a quiet man and did not want to draw attention to himself. He was very helpful to others. At his time at Bradford Court, he was always helping the other residents which the nursing staff appreciated very much.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; a sister Laveta Houston; a brother Robert Perry and his wife Jackie; and his wives Betty Gay Perry and Karen Perry; and Niece Luann Houston-Parrish.
Survivors include His brother Bob Houston; Nephew Tim Houston and his wife Jenny; and Niece Stacey Perry.
At Ronald's request burial will be private.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
