Ronald E. Geeser

Ronald E. Geeser, age 77 of Nixa, died January 15, 2024.  He was born December 11, 1946 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Bernard and Gabrielle (Claeyssens) Geeser.

On May 28, 1966 Ron was united in marriage to Susan (Branning).

In 1973 Ron and Susan moved with their children to Douglas County, Missouri, where they operated a small farm.  Although he was raised in the city, he quickly came to love rural life.  He enjoyed his cattle, making hay and cutting wood.

Ron made his living as a grade checker for D & E Plumbing.  He also worked for Journagan Construction, and several other construction companies.  

In 2001 Ron and Susan moved to Nixa, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Susan; his children, Amy Wallbank and husband Doug, and Andrew Geeser and wife Katherine; six grandchildren, Courtney Henry, Devin Geeser, Kaitlyn Geeser, Juillian Sawyer, Jessica Hughes and Monica Sharp; nine great grandchildren; his brothers, Robert Geeser and Randy Geeser of Rockford, Illinois; and his sister, JoAnne Daily of Roscoe, Illinois.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; Bernard and Gabrielle Geeser; two sisters, Joyce Gay Geeser and Janice Thomas; and his brother, Roger Geeser.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  

Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
