Ronald Dwain Burk, 54, passed away on December 5, 2013, in Springfield, MO surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born on August 8, 1959 in Springfield, MO. Ron married his wife Leslie Fritz on June 8, 1991, and were later blessed with four daughters.
Ron graduated from Galena High School, and received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial Management from Southwest Missouri State University. Ron served as the Productions and Scheduling Manager at Hutchens Industries in Mansfield, MO. His tenure there spanned more than 20 years.
Ron and his family are members of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nixa. He and Leslie were recipients of the Angels in Adoption award at a gala ceremony in Washington, DC in November 2013, where all of their daughters were able to be present.
Those left to cherish Ron"�s memory include: his wife, Leslie Kay Burk, Nixa; four daughters, Lacy Kay Kendrick Burk, Mississippi, Sunnie Jo Burk, Florida, Kellie Marie Burk, Nixa, and Kylie Jo Burk, Nixa; mother, Dorothy Burk, Galena; two brothers, Bruce Burk, Nixa, Marvin Burk, South Carolina; one sister-in-law Lana Lea Mangold and husband Ken, Arkansas; one brother-in-law, Loren Fritz and wife Sheryl, Florida; and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 8 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Nixa, Mo, with Pastor Adam Parvey officiating. Funeral and burial services will follow at a later date to be determined by the family. Flowers and memorials may be delivered to the Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, MO or to the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Nixa, Mo. between the hours of 1:30-3:30 Saturday.
Ron will be remembered for his warmth, patience, humility, humor, kindness, loyalty, willingness to do for others, and most of all his positive attitude. Although he battled a difficult battle with cancer for many years, he never once complained and taught us all that through anything, a positive attitude is possible and can make all the difference. His memory and legacy will continue to live on through the lives of his wife, daughters, friends, and family as they continue to carry on his love into the world.
