Robert Jospeh Weeks

Robert Joseph Weeks, age 70, of Rogersville, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017. He was born October 30, 1946 in Springfield, the son of Roy and Esther (Thompson) Weeks. Robert and Janet Carol Godfrey were married February 21, 1964. Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1963 and retired in 1983. He had served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and was a Bronze Star Recipient. After retirement he was employed by the Missouri Department of Corrections in Fordland for twenty years. He also served on the Rogersville Fire Department and as a first responder. He was a member of the Ozark Post 7628. Survivors include: His wife, Janet; a daughter, Becky Shanks and husband Jimmy of Rogersville; a son-in-law Mark Winslow of Highlandville; four grandchildren Shelby Winslow Tate and husband Ryan, and Laddie, Celessa and Jocelyn Shanks; a brother, Wesley Weeks of Halfway; a sister, Zelma Gann and husband Willard of Nixa; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Robert was preceded in death by a daughter, Bobbie Winslow, and his parents. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, August 31, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial with military honors will follow in Selmore Cemetery, south of Ozark. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
