Robert Thomas

Robert Thomas, age 82, of Branson passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016. He was born December 27, 1933, in Burlington, IA to Roy and Dorothy (Mahlman) Thomas. He attended Bible College and earned a bachelor's degree. Robert served in the U.S. Army post World War II. He enjoyed playing the guitar, saxophone, and clarinet. Robert loved to take road trips and stop to see the sights along the way. He was a very outgoing person and never knew a stranger. Robert was a contractor in Florida for many years with his brother Harold. They built many Dunkin Donuts and Rax Roast Beef facilities. Robert settled in Branson in his retirement years. He attended Church of God a Worldwide Association in Springfield. Robert is survived by his son Chris Thomas and his daughter-in-law Rebecca, of Nixa; grandsons Michael and Jonathan Thomas; and granddaughters Elizabeth and Madeleine Thomas; a nephew John Anderson; and a great nephew David Anderson. Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Harold Thomas; and a niece Lorretta Anderson. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 22, 2016 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
