Robert Asa Shawley, age 65 of Rogersville, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012. He was born December 18, 1946 in Springfield, the son of Robert E. "Bob"� and Mary (Phillips) Shawley. Robert worked as a counselor for Consumer Credit Counselors. His hobbies were riding his Harley, hunting, fishing, painting and sports (Go Cowboys.) Robert always had a booth at the annual crafts fair in Ozark. He enjoyed visiting and joking with his friends at his breakfast table at Rosie Jo"�s Caf�. Robert was truly the father of his family, and loved spending time with them. Robert loved his God, and worshiped Him most often by enjoying His creation, sitting on his porch, tending to his flowers, and hunting and fishing. Survivors include: his children, Robert Eugene Shawley and wife Sandy, Clever and Kenneth Dwayne Shawley, northern Missouri; five grandchildren, Ronnie, Dakota, Cayleigh, Amanda and Cory; three great grandchildren, Jordyn, Ireland, and Landon; two brothers, James Shawley and wife Mary and Tony Shawley and wife Paula,; two sisters, Ianna Rhodes, and Tonda Shawley; seven nieces and nephews, David and wife Joy, Michael, Zenobia and husband Scott, Annie (who he embraced as his own daughter) and husband Tony, Joshua, Adam and Sarah; and six great nieces and nephews, Kelsey, Jacob, Taylor, Ryleigh, Lydia and Benjamin. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Ronnie and Lonnie Shawley; and infant sister, Rose Marie; and a cousin, Terry Braden. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Richwood Cemetery, Nixa. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday in the funeral home.
