Robert Klug

Robert (Rob) Klug, age 54, of Republic passed away after a valiant two year battle with cancer Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 28, 1966 in Mt. Clemens, MI to David Klug and Sandi Montgomery. Rob met Lisa Trapolino through mutual friends in Fontana, CA. They married August 11, 1991 at Chapman Chapel in Orange, CA. Rob was a general contractor for many years in Southern California. Rob and Lisa later moved to Fair Grove where he became a claims adjuster and traveled across the country. Rob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and kayaking. He and Lisa attended Crossway Baptist Church in Springfield and became part of the church family. Rob cherished his time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Lisa; children Robert Klug, his wife Ashlie of Clever, and Nicole Green, her husband Colton of Republic; grandchildren Landon, Layna, and Landrie Klug; a sister Holly Sims, her husband Hal of Colbert, WA; parents David Klug, his wife Joan of New Haven, MI, and Sandi Montgomery of Colbert, WA. Rob is preceded in death by his grandmother Mabel Moyer; his uncle Dick Hennessy; aunts Judy Huebener and Sharon Soltis; and cousin Kenny Soltis. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Crossway Baptist Church, Springfield, with Pastor Eddie Bumpers officiating. Flowers may be delivered to Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
