Robert " Bob" Hackett

Robert Dale Hackett, age 88, of Nixa, passed away in his home Thursday, February 24, 2022.  He was born February 3, 1934 in Carthage, Tennessee, the son of Bobby Lee and Geraldine Hackett.  He graduated from Humm Fogg Technical High School in Nashville, Tennessee.  Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  On June 15, 1963 he and Patricia Ann Gipson were united in marriage. 

Before retirement in 1990, Bob was a test lab manager at Teledyne Brown Engineering in Huntsville, Alabama.  He and Pat moved to  Atlanta to be near their daughter and granddaughter, and in 2003 came to the Ozarks. 

Bob was a proud member of Republican Party and had served as secretary for the Christian County Republican Central Committee.

Bob was a kind and gentle man, slow to anger, fast to forgive.  Pat was treated like a queen, he loved her so much.  Bob always treated others like he wanted to be treated. 

Survivors include:  His wife, Pat; his loving daughter Melissa Dawn Blanton of Dallas, Texas; a granddaughter Rebecca Michelle Blanton;  and many friends.  His son-in-law David Blanton preceded him in death as well as his parents.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.  A family conducted memorial service will be at a later date. 

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Adams Crematory.
