Robert Lee "Bob" Bolin, age 73 passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at home with his family by his side. Bob was born September 10th, 1941, the son of Earl and Wilma (Melton) Bolin.
On March 17, 1962 he and Becky Steinbeck were married. To this union two children were born - a daughter, Michele, and a son, Mark. Bob worked for Mid-Am Dairy for 39 years. He worked at many things. There was no job too big for him. Bob always helped others. He loved his family. His grandchildren meant the world to him.
Bob loved going on trips and seeing all the countryside. His hobbies included making birdhouses and giving them away. Bob mowed his neighbors' fields out of the goodness of his heart. He loved doing things for others.
Bob was a member of the Oldfield Church of Christ. Bob had many friends, and enjoyed visiting with all of them. He never wanted to miss a service. Bob loved going to the Oldfield Opry. Bob will be missed by his family who loved him dearly. Bob had many friends. He especially enjoyed going out for breakfast with Jerry Davis and others.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joan Fulton; and two brothers in law, Jamie Fulton and Bob Johnson.
Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Becky Bolin, Sparta; his daughter, Michele Belthius and husband Butch, Oldfield; his son, Mark Bolin, Sparta; his grandchildren, Mandy Hartness and husband John, and Caitlin Bolin; a step grandson, Bob Belthius and wife Melissa; great grandchildren, Blake and Aaliyah; step grandchildren, Andrew and Abby; a sister, Erva Lou Johnson, Sparta; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Ted Spencer and Jesse Young officiating. Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Compassus or Fair Haven Childrens Home.
