Robert Scott Gottschalk, age 45, of Springfield, passed into the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 18, 2018, in Springfield, MO. He died at home among family members after an extended bout with ALS.
Robert was born July 25, 1972 in La Mesa, CA, while his dad served in the Navy. He graduated from Kingman High School, Kingman, AZ, and shortly thereafter enlisted in the Navy. Robert was injured while serving as a parachute rigger and the Navy gave him an honorable discharge and full disability status..
Robert is survived by his wife, Patty, his dad, Dean, of Kingman AZ; his mom, Kay Booth and step-dad Gerald, of Springfield; a brother, Mark of Austin, TX; and a sister, Kimberly Trombley and husband Bill, of Springfield. He is also survived by two step-children, four step-grandchildren, on niece, six nephews, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial graveside service will be 11:00 AM Friday, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Cremation was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
