Richard Sawyer

Richard Allen Sawyer, age 49, of Ozark, passed away August 4, 2018. He was born August 5, 1968 in Springfield, the son of Everett Leon and Nancy Sue (Stafford) Sawyer. He was a 1986 graduate of Ozark High School. Richard worked as a stainless steel welder. As a handyman "if it was broke, Rick would fix it". Rick had a big heart. He loved his family and was a loving father. Survivors include: A son, Allen Sawyer of Republic; a brother, Jeff Sawyer and wife Shela of Sparta; nieces, Ashley Sawyer of Nixa, and Jessica Sawyer of Rockaway Beach; and a nephew, Jonathan Leon Sawyer of Sparta. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy and Leon, and a brother Tommy Ray Sawyer. Cremation rites will be accorded, and burial will be in Hopedale Cemetery, Ozark. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
