Richard Pike

Richard L. Pike, age 89, passed away at his home in Springfield Saturday, August 17, 2024. He was born March 31, 1935, in Springfield to Frank and Eva (Coulter) Pike. Richard married Jeanne DeMarchi in the 1960's.

 Richard grew up in Springfield and graduated from Springfield High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in finance at Drury College, now known as Drury University. Upon graduating college, he went to work in finance in St. Louis. Richard later moved to New York City where he worked on Wall Street. He later worked for CitiBank as an investment analyst. When Richard retired, he moved back to Springfield.

 Richard had many hobbies. He enjoyed playing bluegrass on his banjo and singing, reading poetry, gardening and Civil War history.

 Richard is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jeanne; and a brother Frank J. Pike.

 Survivors include his daughters Cynthia Pike and Caroline Pike and her husband Christopher Eaton; his nephew Frank Pike Jr., his wife Nancy and their two children Joseph and Carrie.

 The family will hold a celebration of life at a future date.

 Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Cremation rites are accorded by Adams Crematory.
