Richard L. Melton

Richard L. Melton, age 62 of Ozark, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012. He was born March 29, 1949 in Ozark, the son of Lenvil Greenberry and Ida Harriet (Meadows) Melton. On March 31, 1973, he was united in marriage to Sandy Atchison. He was a 1967 graduate of Ozark High School. Richard served his country in U.S. Army. He worked at FASCO Industries in Ozark from 1972 "� 2002 and most recently for NorthStar Batteries. Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include: his wife Sandy Melton, Ozark; a son, Jeremy Melton and wife Lynn, Clever; a daughter, Susan Weller and husband James, Republic; two brothers, Harold Melton, Ozark and Orville Glenn Melton and wife Dolly, Springfield; a sister, Dorothy Braden, Ozark; and two grandchildren, Wyatt Scott and Bailey Lynn Melton and many friends and extended family. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jimmy Ray Melton; a sister, Louise Jones; two brothers-in-law, Richard and Johnny Braden; and a sister-in-law, Judy Melton. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 12, 2012 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 12, 2012 before the funeral.
