Richard "Dwayne" Jones

Richard “Dwayne” Jones, age 68 of Ozark, passed away December 15, 2021. He was born November 25, 1953, the son of Richard Lee and Maggie Louise (Melton) Jones.

On November 6, 1976 he was united in marriage to Barbara Eagleburger.

Dwayne had retired from Meeks Lumber, where he was a foreman for 42 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dwayne loved being outdoors and often fed the squirrels and deer in his backyard.

Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Jones of Ozark; children, Sherri Jones of Springfield and her son Keenon Burns, Jennifer Berryessa and husband Aaron of Ozark, Kevin Hodges of Springfield, and Michael Hodges of Ozark; grandchildren, Ryleigh Berryessa, Braxton Berryessa, Christy Moody, Gabby Hodges, Todd Hodges, Chadwick Hodges, Olyvia Hodges, Nikolaus Hodges and Jakob Hodges; numerous great grandchildren; his siblings, Velda Harris and husband Jimmy of Ozark, Elaine Sistrunk and husband Phil of Mississippi, Lynda Jones of Ozark, and Victor Jones and wife Karen of Nixa.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor James Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery, Ozark. Visitation will be from 1-2 P.M. immediately before the funeral in the funeral home.
