Renee Gay Wilson

Renee Gay Wilson, age 60, of Nixa, passed away after an 8 year battle with cancer. She was born January 8, 1954, in Savanah, GA, to David and Mariana (Mitchell) Meredith. Renee worked very hard through the years and took care of her family very well. She had many hobbies, some of which were collecting Dolphin and Mermaid figurines. Renee loved to go fishing with the love of her life, of 35 years, Calvin Budd. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful loving wife and mother. Her contagious smile would light up the room. Renee was a fighter, and it showed during her battle with cancer. Survivors include: her father David Meredith, and wife Darlene, of Nixa; the love of her life, Calvin Budd, of the home; children Angie Fletcher, and husband Joel, of Marionville, Clint Wilson, and wife Kristin, of Clever, Jason Budd, and wife Danielle, of Clever, Amy Wilson, of Nixa, and Ben Wilson, of Clever; 11 grandchildren; and a sister Glee Letterman, and husband Pete, of Springfield. Renee is preceded in death by her mother; and a brother Dave Meredith. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 23, 2014, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
