Regina Mayfield

Regena Mayfield, age 69 of Nixa, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012. She was born September 30, 1942 in Gilbertown, Alabama, the daughter of Ezra and T.A. (Broadhead) Kemp. In June 1972, she married Reverend Leon L. Mayfield. Regena greatly enjoyed serving with her husband in ministry. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include: three children, Ronald Leon Mayfield and wife Brooke, Southaven, Mississippi, and their daughters, Ava and Addison; Daniel Edgar Mayfield and wife Kayla, Nixa; and Jimmy Dale Mayfield, Highlandville, and his children, Lance, Kelly and Brock; and a sister, Ann Kemp, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Regena was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Daniel Kemp. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday at Nixa First Assembly, with Pastors Don Blansit and Jimmie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in McConnell-Bledsoe Cemetery, Nixa. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home.
