Raymond McConnell Maples, age 91, passed away on November 22, 2012, in Belton, SC. He was born to Herman and Vesta (McConnell) Maples on October 31, 1921, in Nixa. Raymond was united in marriage to Mable Isbell, on October 8, 1945. Raymond and Mable were married until Mable"�s passing in 1985. Raymond served his country in the U. S. Army, during World War II. He served in the European, African, and Middle Eastern theatres. Raymond drove tractor-trailer units for eight years, one of which was for Consolidated Freightways. Raymond farmed most of his life, starting with a dairy farm, and later cattle farming. One of Raymond"�s favorite things was auctioneering. Raymond also like raising poultry, such as chickens, turkeys, and Canadian geese.
Raymond is survived by his two daughters Ardell Fox, and husband Charles, and Celeste Messenger, and husband Jim, of Easley, SC. He is also survived by a sister, Joyce Mabe, of Nixa 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Florence Herndon and Lois Wisener, and one brother, Roy Maples.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012, at 2:00 P. M., at McConnell Cemetery in Nixa.
