Ray Bishop

Ray A. Bishop born 11/23/1941 in Tifton, GA, he passed peacefully on 9/17/2017 at Mercy Springfield Hospital. He was united in marriage January 18, 1965 to Babara Schoeffel, who preceded him in death on May 22, 2007. They had 1 child, Janet C. O'Brien, who resides in Dixon. Also, surviving members are 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He has 5 brothers who reside in Florida. He will be greatly missed but know he is rejoicing with his beloved wife and other family members. Mr. Bishop served in The United States Army for 20 years, then as a federal civilian worker for 10 years. When he retired from civil service he went on to work for Quaker Windows and his last job was driving a school bus for The Dixon School District. Due to declining health he retired fully in 2009. A small memorial service is being held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Santee Church, Dixon, Missouri from 4 to 6pm. There are no graveside services
