During the depression, Ralph and his family moved back and forth from Missouri to California searching for work. Ralph held many jobs including field work, construction, and truck driving. While in California, he was drafted into the Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. After his discharge, he returned to Missouri where he was know as an accomplished mechanic, owned and operated a trucking business, and took great pride in being a farmer. Ralph Redfearn was a man of great wisdom and integrity who said what he meant and meant what he said. His word was his badge of honor and he set great stock in hard work and honesty. Ralph was always willing to help others. He had a quick wit and loved to visit with family and friends; he especially enjoyed sharing his adventures as a bull hauler.
