Preston K. Goodman

Preston Kirk Goodman, 47 of Springfield, MO was born on September 6, 1973, to Dennis and Valerie (Anderson) Goodman. He peacefully left his life here on earth on March 4, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Preston graduated from Parkview High School in 1991, where he met his wife of 23 years. They were married on July 19, 1997, and together, they have 5 children. Preston followed in his father's footsteps and enjoyed his career in the mechanical and building maintenance field for over 20 years. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, and also enjoyed attending their activities and events. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Goodman; his father-in-law Dale Burkhart; his grandparents Leonard and Annalee Goodman and Richard and Dorothea Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Michelle, of the home; his children, Amber Goodman, of Ozark; Meaghan, Hunter, Brianna, and Bella Goodman, all of the home; his grandchildren Raven, Christopher, Alex, and one on the way; his mother Valerie Goodman; his mother-in-law Rebecca Burkhart; his sister Tracey and AJ, Spear, of Texas; brother-in-law Brian and Michele Burkhart; Nieces and Nephews, Autumn, Daniel and Gracelynn D'Angelo, of North Carolina; Seth Spear of Texas; Emma Spear of Oklahoma; Kaylea and Liam Wilkinson, Nathaniel, Haven, Abby and Zach Burkhart; and a host of Aunt's, Uncle's, Cousins and Friends. Preston will be greatly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Liver Foundation or The Springfield Ballet.
