Phyllis Jean Carsten Cobb

        Phyllis Jean Carsten Cobb, age 79 of Clever,  passed away December 13, 2023.  She was born on March 8, 1944 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Jim and Roberta Carsten.       
    Phyllis grew up in Spokane, where her love of the outdoors began on her family's farm.  After her daughter Penny was born, she and her husband Johnny raised cattle.  Phyllis enjoyed many fishing and camping trips over the years as well.  One of her last dreams was of her fishing on a beautiful lake.  She worked for Fasco and owned a grocery store on the Ozark Square.   She retired from Sam's Club.  More than anything,  Phyllis adored her family greatly and was always just a phone call away.       
     Survivors include:  her granddaughter, Macheall and her husband Shiloh Lance of Clever;  four great grandchildren, Morgan and Spencer Lance, Dawson and Wrigley; and many beloved cousins.
     Phyllis was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents Jim and Roberta Carsten; Jerry Carsten who was like a brother to her; her infant son James Carsten; her daughter Penny Pinkley; her husband of 23 years John Cobb; and her granddaughter Brittany Ott and many cousins.

        A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Devember 17, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Dr. Wade Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Jones-Chastain Cemetery, Nixa. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
