Phillip James Shannon

.Phillip James Shannon passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Phil was born on December 29, 1964 and grew up in Strafford, Missouri. He is fondly remembered by his Strafford classmates as Snoopy in the school play. Phil loved hobbies and found wonderful communities through his love of motorcycles and craft beer brewing. He enjoyed live music and was a supporter of local bands. Phil could often be found sharing coffee with friends at the Dancing Mule. Phil is preceded in death by his father, Hugh Shannon, and his close friend, Tim Woodworth. Phil is survived by his son Dr. Dalston Ward, his mother Doris Weber, and his sisters Karen and Dena. Phillip strongly believed that “friends are the family that you choose” and he chose a large family. Among them, he is survived by Eric Smith, Susan Sawinski, Joseph and Adrian Laflen, Dave and Sheri Gray, Kim Woodworth, and Monte and Tina Fletcher; and his godchildren Madelyn, Charlie, Roenick, Emma, Grace, Hannah, Quinn and Griffin. His large and loving community of friends extends far beyond this list. He will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 29 at 5 PM at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
