Pete Roberts

Ivan Quintin "Pete" Roberts, age 85, passed away on March 28, 2015, at home in Springfield, MO. He was born in Tarkio, MO on April 3, 1929, to parents Lee and Agnes Roberts. Pete graduated from Sparta High School in 1947. He was baptized at Sparta Baptist Church in 1945. He retired in 1991 from Associated Wholesale Grocers after 25 years. Pete loved his family. He enjoyed garage sales, trading cars, and basketball. A big part of his life was showing horses, especially a horse named Zane's Charming Lad. Survivors include: His wife of 66 years, Roberta "Bobbie"; three children, and their spouses, Larry and Jackie Roberts, Paula and Dale Phillips, and Debbie and Nick Fax; five grandchildren, Brad Phillips, Lance Phillips, Jason Phillips and wife Shawna, Austin Fax and Taylor Fax; two step-grandchildren, Chris Bingham and Cehre, and Andrea Mayer and Stephen; two great-grandchildren, Jenna and Cale; and two step-great-grandchildren, Cehrisa and River; and many friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Ronnie Roberts, and his parents. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 3, at 11:00AM in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM on Friday until service time.
