Paula Jo Waldowski, age 65, of Springfield passed away Monday, July 30, 2018. she was born October 3, 1952 in Kansas City,MO to Charles and Lois (Bratcher) Waterworth.
Paula was born Kansas city and raised in Independence Missouri by her parents Charles and Lois Waterworth. Paula graduated from Truman High School in 1970. She enlisted in the US Air Force on 2/28/1971. While there, Paula was assigned the duty of USAF Administration Specialist after initially being assigned to an Air Craft Maintenance AFSC...Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC). and remained active duty up to 5/7/1975.
Paula earned her Associates degree in 1979 from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Paula then continued her education and graduated with Bachelor of Arts in History from Oklahoma State University in 1981 where she was a lifetime alumni member.
After she completed her degree, she was the Director of the Sarpy County Museum in Bellevue, Nebraska. Paula moved to several military bases with her family. She settled in Northern Virginia to raise her two youngest boys as a stay at home mom.� While she did this she held several small part time jobs from preschool teaching to working for a museum.
She was an excellent writer, an artist, she sang loud, spoke her mind freely, moved through all situations with grace and serenity. She loved her family unconditionally.
Paula is survived by her Father; sons John Waldowski, and his wife Stephanie of Ft. Worth, TX and Andrew Waldowski, his wife Amy of Springfield and Adam Waldowsky of Hollywood, CA; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters Barbara Landis, and her husband David of Lee's Summit, and Leslie Waterworth of Springfield; and a brother Bryan Waterworth, his wife Connie of Clever.
Paula is preceded in death by her mother.
