Paula Jean Moore, age 57, of Nixa, passed away in her home on Sunday, May 5, 2013, leaving family members and good friends who loved her dearly. She had battled courageously with colon cancer. Paula was born March 27, 1956, in Springfield, the daughter of Harold and Nancy (Stewart) Robertson. Most of her life Paula lived in this area. She also resided in San Antonio, Texas, Shreveport, Louisiana, and near the Panama Canal. Paula cared for children as a daycare provider. She had also worked as a manager for Steak and Shake. Paula loved adventure. She enjoyed parasailing, bungee jumping, and traveling whenever and wherever she could. On May 17, 1991, she and Richard Wayne Moore were united in marriage. Survivors include: her loving husband, Richard; eight children, Amber Carnahan and husband Dustin of Battlefield, Brandie Moore and husband Curtis, and Chasity King all of Nixa, Tony Loehr of Camdenton, Richard Eugene Moore and wife Amy, Jessie Moore, Randy Moore, and Melinda Moore and Fred Edmonds, all of Springfield; 24 grandchildren. Paula was looking forward to the birth of her first great-grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Iorg and husband Mark of Sparta; a brother Harold Robertson, Jr. and wife Nicole of Ava; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Dowler, her parents, and grandparents. Visitation will be from 6:00 -8:00 PM Wednesday, May 8, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, May 9, in the funeral home, with Stan Bisher officiating. Burial will follow in Hopedale Cemetery.
