Paula May Mashburn, age 74, of Nixa, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013. She was born August 18, 1939, in Springfield, the daughter of Paul and Beatrice (Poyner) Inmon. She was a graduate of Central High School. On September 29, 1957, she and Clark D. Mashburn were united in marriage. They lived in Kansas City for 33 years before moving to Nixa. Paula loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. After raising her family, Paula returned to school and graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty. She was employed by Taylor Health Clinic at MSU. She enjoyed scrapbooking and making greeting cards for family and friends. Paula and Clark traveled overseas enjoying many countries and sharing memorable experiences. Paula was a faithful Christian and was always involved in the work of the Church. She was a member of Union Hill Church of Christ. Paula loved her church family and enjoyed working with the World Bible Study Program. Survivors include: Her husband, Clark; three children Dave Mashburn and wife Jana, Springfield, Molly Armstrong and husband Michael, Kansas City, and Sue Mann, Nixa; four grandchildren, Matt Armstrong, Mason Armstrong, Amy Mashburn, and Caroline Osborn; two step-grandchildren, Matt VanBuskirk, and Emily VanBuskirk; two step-great-grandchildren, Sadie Carter and Logan VanBuskirk; a brother, Terry Inmon, Wentzville; nieces; nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Inmon, a sister, Sarah Cassell, and her parents. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 7, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Steve Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Patterson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Saturday until service time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fair Haven Children"�s Home in Strafford.
