Paul E. Wasson

June 3, 1933 — February 16, 2023

             Paul E. Wasson, age 89 of Nixa, died February 16, 2023.  He was born June 3, 1933 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the son of Paul Wasson, Sr. and Gertrude (Vienhage) Wasson.

            Paul served his country in the U. S. Marines.  He worked on his family farm, was a diesel mechanic, welder and heavy machinist.  Paul was of the Catholic faith. Although he raised his family in Southern California, his heart and soul belonged to his family century farm in Nixa.

Survivors include:  his daughters, Margaret Wasson and Michelle Wasson; granddaughters, Megan Wasson and Claire Peterson and husband Bryan, Alexis Wasson, Tara Shaughnessy and Ashley Wheeler; great grandchildren, Aubrey Peterson, Porter Paul Peterson and Charley Annette Peterson.

            Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Norma; a daughter, Annette Beverly Wasson and his sister, Annette Kardos. 

            A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Father Tom Reidy officiating. Burial will follow at Glenn Cemetery, Nixa.  Visitation will be held from noon until 1 p.m. immediately before the funeral at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
