Patty Marie Herd

Patty Marie Herd, age 62, of Clever, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014, in Springfield. She was born April 11, 1951, in Edmond Oklahoma, to Ed and Letha (Kiper) Thomas. She married James Herd, March 30, 1989. Patty worked for FASCO in Springfield, making electric motors, retiring after 22 years. Her family describes Patty as an outspoken and strong willed person. Patty liked to live a simple life, dancing at the senior center with her husband, and coin collecting. Patty loved her family and doted on her grandsons. Patty is survived by her husband; her son Chris Davis, and his wife Audrey, of Republic; his sister Lanora Porterfield, of Republic; and her two grandsons Von and Tyler Davis, of Republic. Patty was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers Paul Thomas and Fred Thomas. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M, Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Brookline Cemetery, Republic.
