In 1984 Oma Belle and Harrison moved to Ozark, Missouri. They were faithful members of the First Baptist Church of Ozark, where Harrison served as a deacon. After Harrison's passing on September 13, 1991, Oma Belle lived on Tennessee Road near Ozark to be near her son Lowell and family. She remained faithful to her church by riding the church bus driven by Mr. Rick Lamb. They remained close friends, along with many of her "church ladies." She never forgot the good memories of them all.
In 2008, Oma Belle suffered a stroke and moved to the James River Care Center. She became close with many of the staff, and because of their excellent care she led a good life until her passing; attending the church services there every Sunday.
