Olga Matlashchuk

Olga Matlashchuk, age 89, of Nixa passed away Wednesday April 25, 2018. She was born March 6, 1929 in Cheturboke, Ukraine to Joseph and Ulyana Valchuk. Olga married Grygoriy Matlashchuk January 24, 1963. Olga was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was most important in her life. She made a loving home for her husband and children. Olga loved gardening and grew vegetables and herbs. She enjoyed canning as well. Olga was a loving and kind person and always willing to give of herself. Olga was a devout Christian. She was very active in her church and loved reading her bible. Olga was a lady of honorable character and set an example of how others should live. Olga is survived by her children Alex Matlashchuk, his wife Maya, Valentina Grishchuk, her husband Alex and Mykola Matlashchuk; 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Olga is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Grygoriy; and one sister. A visitation service will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Bread of Life Church in Rogersville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 7, 2018 at Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield.
