Norman Carl White, age 84, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015 in his home. He was born August 14, 1931 in Leadwood, Missouri, the son of Robert McKinley White and Delpha (Smith) White. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, and on September 16, 1952 he and Anneliese Potter were married in Germany, where Norman was stationed. Norman made a career as a Medic in the U.S. Army, and following retirement he and Anneliese purchased a farm near Houston, Missouri. They moved to Nixa 20 years ago.
Norman enjoyed gardening, and loved being with his grandchildren. As a Christian, Norman was strong in his faith.
Survivors include: His wife, Anneliese; three children, Robert White and wife Dorothy of Raymondville, MO, Steven White and wife Julie of Wichita, Kansas, and Kathy Hartline and husband Bruce of Stubenville, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Candis Akin, Carla Walker, Jamie Schanda, Steve White, Cody White, James White, Anna Hess, and Crystal Piatt; and several great-grandchildren.
His parents and a sister, Helen, preceded Norman in death.
A graveside funeral will be 11:00AM Wednesday, September 9, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, with full military honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
