Noreen Brown

Noreen Brown, age 77 of Nixa, died December 13, 2024. She was born October 9,1947 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Vivian (Wentworth) Smith. 

On March 25, 1966, Noreen was united in marriage to Glendon Brown. 

Noreen had retired from Greene County where she worked as a secretary. She loved all kinds of music and especially enjoyed reading.  

Survivors include: her husband, Glendon Brown of Nixa; her children, Christine Arterberry and husband Mark of Springfield, Jean Marie Williams and husband John of Walnut Shade, and Craig Brown and wife Lauren of Highlandville; grandchildren, Brian Tamayo, Megan Tamayo, Christopher Tamayo and wife Darah, Caleb Arterberry and wife Jacqueline, Blake Williams, Chase Brown, Carson Brown and Juleigh Brown; four great grandchildren, Justin Taylor, Addison Taylor, Hadley Arterberry and Rhett Arterberry; a sister, Wanda Hanson of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and her nieces and nephews.  

Noreen was preceded in death by her parents.  

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home.  

Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory, and burial will be at a later date at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
