Nicholas Kaden Applegate, age 34 of Raymondville, died October 2, 2020. He was born December 5, 1985 in Springfield, the son of Gary and Pansy (Miles) Applegate.
Nick was a sergeant at South Central Correctional Center in Licking. He enjoyed body building, tree climbing, hunting, fishing and his pick up truck. Nick loved spending time with his children.
Survivors include: his wife, Amanda Scantlin of the home; children, Abbrielle, Nalih, Harley and Kali of Raymondville; his siblings, Stephanie Nelson and husband Timothy and their four children of Ozark, Curtis Applegate of Ava, Jimmie Applegate of Ozark, Joseph Applegate of Sparta and his four children, Jessica Applegate of Oregon and her two children, and Jennifer Applegate of Marionville and her child; his aunts and uncles, Connie and James Blevins of Ozark, Joyce and Roger Bostic of Ozark, Carol and Norman Smith of Silex, Leroy and Stella Jussel of Forsyth, and Mack Miles of Belton; and many cousins.
Nick was preceded in death by an uncle, Mike Applegate and an aunt, Josephine Auten.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 6, 2020 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Lonnie Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. immediately preceding the funeral in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
