Nancy Smith, of Ozark, recently of Springfield, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013. She was born December 15, 1940. Nancy was a Baptist by faith, and had a generous heart, freely giving to those less fortunate. She was helpful to others and enjoyed traveling. Nancy worked for Zenith from the beginning of the Springfield plant until the closing day. She then worked for Shoney"�s. Survivors include: Her children, Bobby Mitchell and wife Debbie of Springfield, Dolly Johnson of Springfield, and Chris Inmon of Lake Havasu, Arizona; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Billy Compton and wife Georgeanne of Lake Charles, Louisiana; a sister, Sue Taylor and husband Tom of Ozark; a cousin, friend and traveling companion, Peggy Taylor of Springfield; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Smith; a beloved daughter, Robin Reitz; and her parents, Lester and Gertie (Baty) Compton. A graveside funeral will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 24 in Fordland Cemetery, with Pastor John Hyde officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 "� 8:00 PM Monday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Memorials may be made St. Jude Children"�s Research Hospital.
